Kit Colbana—half breed, assassin, thief, jack of all trades—has a new
job: track down the missing ward of one of the local alpha
shapeshifters. It should be a piece of cake.
So why is she so nervous? It probably has something to do with the
insanity that happens when you deal with shifters—especially sexy ones
who come bearing promises of easy jobs and easier money.
Or maybe it’s all the other missing kids that Kit discovers while
working the case, or the way her gut keeps screaming she’s gotten in
over her head. Or maybe it’s because if she fails—she’s dead.
If she can stay just one step ahead, she should be okay. Maybe she’ll even live long to collect her fee…

Last Breath by Rachel Caine!
Yes, I know what you are thinking. Last Breath, you are way behind girl. LOL.
Yes I am behind and I do have a reason why. When I read Bite Club, I was amazed by the
changes and growth in the charters. The
plot just keeps building, with twist and turns that you never see coming. Something big is on the horizon. So with that I wanted to wait to read Last
Breath until I could have Black Dawn in my hands to read.
Last Breath by Rachel Caine
I am really going to try to do this, by not giving
any spoilers (I may not have been the only one to wait to read it).
I feel that Last Breath is a big changing point in
the Morganville series. The twists and
turns of this book were unexpected and had me on the edge of my seat, with the
turn of every page.
As we know Michael and Eve are engaged, and that
has put the people and vamps of Morganville in an uproar. Some for it, a lot against
a vamp/human marriage. But that is just the start of this journey. Vampires start disappearing and we know Bishop
is not to blame. Something strange is
going on and it even has the vamps running.
I don’t even know what to say about Claire without
giving away anything. BIG, Big things happen to Claire that I hope we don’t see
again.
The relationship between Michael and Eve, Shane and Claire will be tested to the fullest capacity in this installment. Rachel lets the reader know exactly what these characters mean to each other and where they each stand.
The best part is that we get many different POV in this installment. Not only Claire and Shane, but, Eve, Michael and even Amelie!
I cannot give this book any higher praise. 5 out of 5 stars!!
I do not know if the review is much of a help, But
It’s by far the best book in the series.

Review of Big Game by C.J. Ellison
While the master is away the wolves will play or so they
think!!!
C.J. Ellison gives her latest and best installment of VV Inn
series in BIG GAME!!
Sex master vamp, Vivian and husband Rafe and half their Seethe,
take us on an adventure to Buenos Aires.
On a tranquil island, in a fabulous
house, with an alluring set of twin to keep things steamy, Vivian and Rafe set off into the Seat of
Darkness, the Tribunal's base to find out who is plotting against them and
why. Vivian is set to find out who wants
her dead!!!,
Meanwhile, back in Alaska, Asa and Jon stay to run the inn. Hosting
visiting werewolves on a big game hunt¸ we soon realize that the hunters are
becoming the hunted….
I feel this is the best VV Inn Book yet!!
The story takes you from beginning to end. Written in the point of view of a different charter
for each chapter, gives a nice touch to the series! The character development is hands down
amazing. We get two story arcs in this
book, which keep the story flowing nicely.
CJ gives us the twists and turns that give us a great book! OH, and did I mention just hands down HOT!!!!
I was very fortunate
to be part of an alpha readers group on this book and received a beta ARC for
Big Game. I do believe we were reading
the book as the final touches were put on that!!!
I am so honored to have been a part of that group. It’s was special treat to be able to have the
chance read and give my input on this book.
I thank you CJ.

Night Veil Review
Night Veil by Yasmine Galenorn
When
I finished read Night Myst, I was left with many questions I wanted answers
to. Like many others I did not want to
wait to read Night Veil. I learned something’s
I wanted to know. In the true fashion of
a good book in a series Night Veil left me with new questions that I want
answers to.
In
my opinion Night Veil is a great follow up to the first in the Indigo Court
series. Beginning days where Night Myst
left off. We are on a fast paced ride
from beginning to end.
Cicely
is put to the test in more ways than one.
Traveling into the heart of the Indigo Court to get to the court of
dreams to save Kaylin from is waking demon.
She learns of her past and who she truly is and what that means for her future. Trusting in the Vampires and the Fae to save
her beloved, Grieve from Myst. All the
while trying to say on the good side of the Vampires, open her magical shop
with Peyton, and dealing with the Consortium.
Friendships
are questioned, love it tested, lines are crossed, loyalties are changed, and
sides are chosen. Everything you want in
a good PR/UF book.
A
roller coaster ride of Magic, Enchanted Darkness and Fae that leaves you content
but wanting more!! - DJP
The
Good: We learn a secret about Myst. We
learn more about Chatter, Peyton and Kaylin.
We meet Luna ( I have a good feeling about her, I think we are good is
some cool things from her).
The
Bad: I truly cannot say one bad thing
about this book.
I
give this book 5 stars!!
I
can’t wait for the next installment of the Indigo Court series, NIGHT
SEEKER!

My Blog!!
It was about
2 years ago that I realized that it had been before my son was born that I had sit down and read a good book. My son(4 at the time) has Autism. He demands a lot of my time and it got hard to do me things. As he becomes accustom to his retinue, it gave me back my me time. READING TIME!!! So I get on
the web and start looking for some titles.
I got my list of books titles together that I thought I might like and
went to the book store.
That was
over 200 books ago. I now have a strong
love for urban fantasy and paranormal romance writers.
Most of my days
are changeling and reading has allowed me to escape from my world for an hour
or two a night.
This is my thanks to all the wonderful authors that have made
me smile or laugh. Have given me my
light in the dark!!
I have started this blog to share my passion books and find
others that enjoying this as much as I do.
Happy Blogging and Reading!!!
